Vegas, Baby! (posted July 5, 12:30 PM PT)

I've just got a few minutes to jump on one of the Rio's premium-priced (!) pcs to post a quick update:

Arrived 3 days ago and it's been a whirlwind. I've been at the Best Poker Stuff booth as my home base. I've met about 50 pros...many of whom appear in Life on Tilt. The reaction to the book has been great and I'll be posting photos with them when I return.

The first day I met a lot of folks who bought Tilt. Yesterday I had an opportunity to be on Gamblers Book Shop podcast and audition for the next season of Best Damn Poker Show. Yes, I made it to the finals and was grilled by Phil Hellmuth and Annie Duke. I also had a chance to do a photo shoot with the Rounder Magazine girls. Be sure to check out their site as they've featured a full-page write up about Tilt in this month's World Series of Poker special edition.

Today I'm meeting with some folks from the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia about helping to promote their big charity poker tournament in November. In about an hour Kenna James and I are doing an appearance at the Aussie Millions booth. Gus Hansen was there yesterday and drew a mob! I'm hoping since his book and Tilt are linked on Amazon we might have some of his crowd appeal rub off.

Tomorrow is the last day and I'm looking forward to getting home, although I'll miss the excitement here. If you've never been to the World Series of Poker, I encourage you to try it. Whether you're a poker fan or not, this is an absolute happening...lots of energy and things to do.
